IPhone X's Rear Panel Is Highly Prone To Shattering And Expensive To Fix

The folks over at iFixit recently conducted a teardown of Apple's latest and greatest smartphone - the iPhone X - and revealed that the device's rear panel is highly prone to shattering and getting it repaired is a highly expensive affair.
After subjecting the iPhone X to its teardown experiment, the experts at iFixit concluded that "Glass on the front and back doubles the likelihood of drop damage - and if the back glass breaks, you'll be removing every component and replacing the entire chassis."
iFixit gave the iPhone X a repairability score of 6/10 and advised users to protect their shiny new device with a cover, unless they have as much as $549 dollars to spare for getting their iPhone X's rear panel fixed.
