Get The Android Oreo Google Phone App On Your Android Phone

Google has made some small but significant changes to its Phone app in Android Oreo, including a bubble mode that puts a call bubble on your screen if you navigate away from the 'call screen' while on a phone call. This makes it easier to mute or end a call from any screen without having to first tap on the status bar to head back to the call screen and then doing the same.
If you want this new Phone app on your Android phone, you're in luck. XDA has a ported version of the Google Phone app with the bubble feature working.
All you need to do is install the app in your phone, make it the default phone application, and then simply give it permissions to 'draw over other apps'.
That's it, now whenever you navigate away from the call screen while you're talking to someone, you'll get a floating bubble on your phone to control various things about the call.
Download the ported APK from XDA Developers.
