Google Using User Feedback To Fix Android 8.1 Installation Issue

Google has resorted to collecting user feedback in order to assess the newly surfaced Android 8.1 Oreo beta installation failure issue and aims to accordingly release a fix for it.
According to a report from XDA-Developers, multiple users have complained that their device flashed an 'Update failed' message after they restarted their smartphone post Android 8.1 installation, and that the OS downgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo after the boot failure.
In order to address the issue, Google has closed the channel to manually download Android 8.1 Oreo beta OTA files and has issued a statement which read,"We are collecting feedback about user reports of OTA installation issues on the 8.1 beta. If this is happening to you, can you post your experiences as that will allow us to possibly reach out for bug reports or additional information."
